emerald city

This weeks friday finish is my version of Katy Jones popular pattern scrap vomit:

my emerald city measures 70" * 70"
and is pieced of 1.225 small squares
quilted on long arm with hobbs thermore polyester batting
with a lovely green print from Heater Ross' line Briar Rose on the back...

I think this popular pattern has potential to be a great "I spy" quilt for a kid. You can do lots of fuzzy cutting and then even pick a selected favorite color combination for a lucky kid... Just an idea

; )

Wish you all a lovely weekend. I'll be watching the olympic opening show, hand stitching a new binding and wishing for better weather for the next photo shoot!

Yea! I love this quilt. Your choice of just the right green with black and white is perfect in the midst of all the scrappiness. Love the green back too. This is a pattern I've long wanted to make. Maybe I can now be satisfied by just looking at yours. Beautiful!!

I love, love the colours of your quilt. It makes me smile. The quilt of your previous post is very nice and bright too. Both are on my wishlist to make some day.
Have a good weekend,

I haven't been a huge fan of the scrap vomit quilts thus far, but I love your version with the solids all the way through the middle. May have to try this myself.

I really love the colors you used in this--the emerald, white and black. Very visually stunning. This is definitely on my "bucket list" of quilts!

Going to the Sewing Expo in Schaumburg, IL tomorrow. Always good for inspiration.
